Joint Integrity

Joint Integrity

Joint Integrity is an important aspect of maintaining a safe and reliable facility. This is due to the sheer amount of piping and therefore flanged connections to be found on most process plant. It could be argued that there are four main influences on the success criteria for a leak free connection:-

Gasket selection
Flange design
Bolt selection

In this course, all four aspects will be covered with the first three topics:

gasket, flange and bolting being discussed to provide an appreciation of how they are selected.
Beyond this course, concentration on item four, the installation, with a step by step discussion on how to make a successful joint connection.
