Axiom helps client improve supply chain defect

A client with a licensed process manufacturing subdivision uses substantial quantities of sub-components manufactured by 3rd party suppliers.

Quality had become an issue resulting in embarrassing defects in final product and substantial costs to the manufacturer and relationship risks to all parties.

Axiom was engaged to work with the client to conduct meaningful vendor appraisals, implement quality improvement procedures with their preferred suppliers, develop quality specifications and conduct 3rd party inspections on the clients’ behalf.

The results included reduced defects, better relationships with both suppliers and end users and less concession requests on finished products.

However the most important aspect was the confidence it gave the client to push into new markets where revenues have increased by more than £2m since the new processes were established.
